Your index page should explain clearly what your business does, the basic services your company offers, and probably what region your business serves.  The text on your homepage is a valuable tool for search engines to connect to, and can include both readable and hidden text.  Remember to keep your index or home page simple and captivating – just enough to draw the viewer to your other pages!

Keep the focus of your text centered on the customer, and how your business can best serve their needs.  Any information that you would like to include about your company, your background and your employees should likely be incorporated into your “about us” page.  Specific information on select services, prices, quotes, etc. is best housed on separate “our services” pages.  Multiple photos, portfolio shots, customer testimonials and contact information are also best served by having pages of their own, although with smaller companies these can often be combined.
